I started my job experience in customer service at the age of 14. I worked in customer service all through high school and college, mainly in the coffee industry as a barista. I learn very quickly and adapt to a wide array of challenges and obstacles. In every position I have ever worked, management notices my diligence and dedication to my position, prompting promotions. I majored in Psychology and worked as a resident advisor at a transitional home for homeless youth in Minneapolis my last semester of schooling. Since graduating in May 2018, I have been working as a housing case manager for St. Stephen's Human Services in Minneapolis. I am dedicated to equality and diversity in all aspects of life. My current passions include; affordable housing, systematic racism, and prison reform.

I manage a case load of those who are homeless and have gone through the coordinated entry system for Hennepin County. When they have reached the top of the list to start receiving services, they can be referred into our program and we would begin to start assessing their fit in regards to what our program offers. Once on our case load, we work with our Housing Locator to find them housing. We are responsible for paying their rent and essentially anything else they may need that directly related to their housing. This can include referrals to mental health services, scheduling doctor appointments, providing transportation, and making sure each household has adequate living conditions and household supplies.

I oversee the new Rita's House transitional program. I oversee the residents within the home and make sure they are meeting their lease requirements, while also being around to assist them an any ways that they need. This is a fairly new program, so I will also be contributing to the idea process and helping implement needed strategies to improve long-term effectiveness of the program.
