Hai Meng Tan

Dr. Hai-Meng Tan is a scientist-turned-business leader with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across the animal nutrition, food and biotechnology sectors in Asia Pacific. As President of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – Asia Pacific, he has led significant business expansion across diverse Asian markets through strategic growth, innovation commercialization, organizational transformation and talent leadership. Under his leadership, the business has achieved multi-fold growth while earning regional recognition for workplace excellence, leadership development and corporate culture. Dr. Tan brings a distinctive combination of scientific depth, commercial leadership and cross-cultural operating experience. Beginning his career as a microbiologist and academic at the National University of Singapore, he transitioned into industry leadership spanning R&D, sales, strategy and regional business management. He has extensive experience leading complex organizations across Asia and working with multicultural teams, customers, partners and stakeholders in highly dynamic markets. His areas of expertise include growth strategy, innovation governance, leadership development, market expansion and organizational transformation. Beyond his executive career, Dr. Tan has contributed to scientific, educational and public-sector organizations through board, advisory and evaluation panel roles in Singapore, including the Singapore Science Centre Board and the Singapore Food Agency’s National Research Project Evaluation Panel.
