As a Senior Research Specialist and Grant Consultant, I am engaged in multiple projects with clients in various sectors including foundations, not-for-profit organizations and corporations. Key Roles: Designing national surveys, Developing Research Methods, Training and Supervising Analysts/Field Researchers, Designing Standard Indicators to Measure Outcomes, Writing and Reviewing Letters of Inquires and Proposals, Providing data driven insights with effective use of innovative, customized ways of data collection and analysis.

In charge of engaging existing and new business and partners in organizing fundraising initiatives and execute re-branding efforts with peer organizations and key stakeholders.

Fundraising support, including managing and updating databases to streamline relations with donors and supporters. Database training included Raisers Edge, Grant Edge and Data Warehouse.

I worked for the public sector program, ‘Support to Private Education Institution Program’ (SPEIP) which aimed to improve rural private schools through extensive training for Child Centered Learning and Parental Involvement. I developed the evaluation proposal for teacher training in schools for SPEIP which included developing research designs, conducted documentation review and literature review to create a work plan for a national level evaluation of the program. In addition to this I also developed a picture documentary for the program website and restructures web content.

Led and managed a team, created in depth interview protocol, scheduled/conducted 20 interviews, managing project budgets, transcribed, analyzed, paper writing and editing. Traveling to near-by villages urban and rural field work.

* I teach program evaluation and project management skills to students of the Masters in Nonprofit Administration Program. My courses provide hands-on learning to students who manage real consulting projects. I closely work with them and guide them to provide valuable and usable deliverables for local and international non-profits. JustKul is a research company focused on strategy and private equity clients. My role as a consultant involves preparing for sales pitches and contributing to development of project proposal and client materials. I am also part of the senior team of consultants brought on to manage and execute highly skilled customized research and strategy work.

Responsible for creating and managing program deliverables to Alameda County for the program on Parenting with Love and Limits. - Wrote concept notes, MOUs, LOIs and project proposals to raise private funding for Lincoln programs.

American Pakistan Foundation is dedicated to socio-economic and cultural development in Pakistan and building lasting bridges among peoples, leaders, and institutions of Pakistan and the United States. Key Roles: Communication Strategy: Targeted at Donors and Grant Makers. Grant Proposal Development: I am the lead developer of grant application materials including all communication templates, Letters of Inquiry and proposal development initiatives. We are currently seeking funding for an innovative education technology initiative aiming to overcome access and quality issues with education in Pakistan. Seeking New Grant Opportunities: I am in charge of mining the current database to establish contact and assess organizational fit for grant opportunities.

ReachOut USA designs and delivers innovative online services in a supportive safe space for youth to turn to when times are tough. Co-developing digital marketing and re-branding strategy: Social Media messaging and developing a marketing calendar. National Impact Survey: My current role with RO consist of developing the annual national youth survey to evaluate the impact of the RO program. After finalizing and programming the survey and attaining IRB approval from Ohio State University, we will launch the survey to capture Grant Proposal Review: I work in conjunction with the RO senior executives to review our grant proposals/letters of inquiry to grant givers. So far I have reviewed 3 major grant applications. Seeking New Grant Opportunities: My secondary role with grant application involves mining the grant database to pull viable foundations and contact them to get meetings and jump start new LOI opportunities.

* Surveying First Generation African Immigrates on Health, Education and Domestic Violence. * Specifically with the Uganda Community in the Greater Chicago Area. * Provided support with data analysis and cleaning.

This initiative founded an organization called ‘Relief Information System Earthquake – PAKISTAN’ (RISEPAK) which was created by a consortium of Pakistani academics and aimed to support the relief efforts. We developed & conducted household level surveys in affected areas to assess the needs of earthquake victims and evaluate the impact of existing relief efforts. The results of this research was published and won an Annual Stockholm Challenge award (2006).
