As a leather technology graduate from the University of Northampton, UK, I have a passion for leather making and a strong knowledge of the industry standards and best practices. I own and manage two tanneries in Kanpur, India, where I produce high-quality leather products for various markets and customers. At Safia International & Bharat Tanning Industries, I oversee the production of heavy belt leather (veg-tanned) and cow/buff din and non-din leather mainly for shoe-uppers. I also own a safety shoe & upper factory. We have been supplying shoe-uppers to many big companies in the Gulf region and South-east Asia for over 20 years, with a capacity of 50,000+ uppers per month. I have successfully expanded my business to South-Africa, Germany, Netherlands, and USA, delivering products that are fully confirmed to EN-345 and complying with REACH norms.
