Part of the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Team. Regular duties include political monitoring and internal communications, drafting parliamentary questions and briefings, and supporting event planning; supporting public affairs engagement on specific projects within diagnostics and pathways.

Parliamentary Assistant to Scottish MP. Prepared briefings for media appearances, Select Committee sittings and speeches; drafted Parliamentary Questions and debate applications on a range of national and local issues; social media and press management including drafting copy and liaising with journalists; led work on two Private Member's Bills, including supporting drafting and engagement with Ministerial offices; diary management including for party conferences; line management of interns, and Staff Representative (2024-26) for staff employed by our party's MPs. Provided administrative, research and political support for the Member as a Member of two Select Committees and frontbench Spokesperson for the Cabinet Office (2022-24), Women & Equalities and Scotland (2022-25); managed a range of stakeholder relationships across the Party, Parliament, charities, lobby groups and residents; contributed to drafting of policy papers, press releases and comment pieces.

Part-time role alongside completing Masters degree. Working within the Campaigns and Elections Team of the Liberal Democrats to raise awareness of training and resources to members, co-ordinating communications within the team to the wider membership via email and on social media.

Social Media role using Instagram, blogs and podcasts to create authentic content to document student life for prospective students of the University of Birmingham. Diverse range of topics covered such as study skills, independent living and life in Birmingham, combining individual interests with strategic priorities for the University.

Representative of the Department of Modern Languages on Open Days and Applicant Visit Days. Duties include discussing details of the course with prospective students and their guests, leading campus tours and liaising with academics and professional services staff to ensure the smooth running of the day.

Summer placement dealing with applications for Clearing places at the University for International Students. General duties include communicating with students and agents overseas, working with Microsoft Excel and Access to maintain and update international entry requirement databases, running campus tours for prospective international students and our overseas agents

Dissertation entitled “Imagining Jerusalem and the Use of Space in Middle High German crusade songs c. 1187-1217” awarded 18/20 (Distinction). Modules included: - Beginners Latin Language - Medieval Language: Middle High German - Dreams and Visions in Old and Middle English Literature - Palaeography, Codicology and Manuscript Studies

German Studies with Proficiency in French. 2019-20 Academic Year spent on Exchange at Eberhard-Karls-Unviersität Tübingen. Modules included: - German Language - Translation in Theory & Practice - Songs without Borders (translating song and music across cultures) - Contemporary Representations of the Body: Literature, Theory and Art - Second Year Research Project on Women in the French, German and Welsh Arthurian poem “Erec”. - Final Year Dissertation: “Aesthetics of Gender, Power and Nationalism in Fritz Lang’s ‘Die Nibelungen’ (1924)”

Two-semester exchange at Eberhard-Karls-Universität-Tübingen, studying German Studies (Germanistik), German as a Foreign Language (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) and Medieval Studies (Mediävistik).
