I lead the Future of India Foundation, a policy and civic-tech institution building democratic infrastructure for youth opportunity in the world’s largest democracy. We build national public goods that combine district-level data, institutional tracking, and youth narratives, using India as a scale case with global relevance. Key platforms: • YouthPOWER: District-level mapping of youth opportunity across all of India’s ~800 districts, covering education, skills, employment, and local economies. • Parliament Tracker: Longitudinal tracking of legislative engagement on youth employment and economic transition. • Tracking Indian Youth: A distributed media fellowship capturing youth lived experience to inform policy discourse. In parallel, we conduct strategic research on the democratic and labour-market impacts of emerging technologies, including AI and disinformation, with a focus on institutional readiness, governance gaps, and employment transitions.

Founded and lead YouthPOWER (youthpower.in), India’s first civic-tech platform to define, measure, and improve youth opportunity nationally. Developed the conceptual framework, technical architecture, and mobilised a multi-disciplinary volunteer and expert team to build the platform. The platform covers all ~800 districts with 80+ indicators drawn from 21 government datasets

The Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) is an NGO designed to prevent terrorists and violent extremists from exploiting digital platforms. Founded by Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube in 2017, the Forum was established to foster technical collaboration among member companies, advance relevant research, and share knowledge with smaller platforms. Since 2017, GIFCT’s membership has expanded beyond the founding companies to include over a dozen diverse platforms committed to cross-industry efforts to counter the spread of terrorist and violent extremist content online.

Independent non-partisan trust to facilitate discussion on topical issues between students and experts at the apex of policy-making and public discourse

This position reports directly to the Congress President and is responsible for providing insight and input into Congress Party's political and policy decision-making for 65% of Indian population below the age of 35 years; and oversight and directional/strategic guidance of the frontal wing The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) is the student frontal wing of the Indian National Congress. The Congress Party is the largest opposition Party in India and led the country in a coalition Government from 2004 - 2014. The NSUI is the world's largest progressive student union with over 4 million registered members nationally

Led the Party's political, legal and parliamentary response to Rajasthan and Haryana Government policy, which disqualified 50% of rural population, especially women and scheduled castes/tribes from contesting local body elections. Brought to national focus through an amendment to the President's address in Parliament, one of only 5 times in history of independent India Worked with state units of Delhi and Rajasthan to build multi-sectoral alliances on social good issues, including a highly publicised in-depth survey and review of Delhi Government's health policy to roll out Mohalla Clinics across Delhi; managed cross-functional team of policy experts and volunteers

Worked with transparency and right to work movements based in Delhi and Rajasthan. Collectively ran several campaigns on key social policy issues and legislations; required coordinating/managing multiple stakeholders such as grassroots mobilization, other activists/movements, media, political parties and state and national bureaucracy. Worked with the National Advisory Council, the apex advisory body chaired by the Congress President to make recommendations on social policy to the UPA Govt. Played a key role in defining the framework for the pre-legislative process – to institutionalize citizen input into drafting of laws. Published extensively in reputed national dailies and journals such as The Hindu, Indian Express, Times of India, The Tribune, EPW, Seminar etc
