I participated in the project of a scientific research in the Mechanical Engineering Department. The research topic was related to machining and my task was to write a technical-scientific report explaining the relationship between the Built Up Edge and the roughness of different types of metals machined in a lathe. As a result of my research, I came to interesting conclusions about the roughness of different metals after being turned at different cutting speeds. The international scientific literature on this topic lacks information and some of the observations and conclusions I was able to reach with my studies turned out to be great news.
