The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is the state agency created in 1953 oversees all prevention, treatment and education of mental health and substance abuse in the State of Oklahoma. The agency has an annual budget of over $600M with over 1,700 employees and management of 11 facilities throughout the state.

In addition, partner with public and private entities to support broadest access for veterans to numerous resources provided by the State of Oklahoma. Responsible for managing over 1,400 state employees, seven (7) veterans homes, two (2) state cemeteries and annual operating budget of $160 million dollars.

The Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) a senate-confirmed position responsible for the overall supervision and oversight of manpower and reserve component affairs (Navy and Marine Corps) of the Department of the Navy (DON), including development of programs and policy related to military personnel (active, reserve and retired), their family members and the civilian workforce; the tracking of the contractor workforce and the oversight of the Human Resources with the DON.

U.S. Senate Chief of Staff for a newly elected Senator responsible for creating, building and organizing a senate staff including hiring and standing up a transition and new office in Washington DC, including two state offices. Managed a office budget of $3.2 million dollars and a 40-person staff and provide them with the resources to perform their daily tasks which include ensuring legislative, communications, and state activities functioned smoothly.

U.S. House of Representative Chief of Staff for a two-term House member. Responsible for transitioning from the House to the Senate which included organizing the closing of the Washington D.C. and District office. This included ensuring all bills are paid and personnel have a transition office in which to work. Responsible establish communications between Senate Sergeant at Arms (SSA) to facilitate the pending transition to U.S. Senate.

Over 35 years executive leadership with extensive background in strategic communications, government relations, community relations, public relations, crisis communication, media relations, employee and community relations, legislative liaison, media relations and key leader engagement, sales strategy development, personnel management, administration, lobbying, strategic planning, non-profit, business transformation and public speaking. In addition, written two books on the subject leadership - "Leadership in Action" and "Profiles in Patriotic Leadership".

Served on Advisory Board to the School of Journalism & Broadcasting, Life Member Oklahoma State Alumni Association. In addition have supported Spears School of Business for their Veterans Entrepreneurship Program (VEP). One of only six Oklahoma State University graduates to attain rank of Rear Admiral.

Recipient of Distinguished Alumni Award , served as "Leader in Residence" and a member of the Advisory Board for School of Liberal Arts.
