• As a consultant for Akkodis, I worked at Meijer in their Digital Services group on the payment processing team. • Worked on Miejer’s payment system which was comprised of Microsoft .NET Core 8.0, ASP.NET Core, C#, Cosmos and Kafka. • Created RESTful APIs that sat on top of a set of microservices. The API and services were hosted in Azure along with Azure API Management to streamline the integration of payment functionalities across various platforms. • Used Cosmos DB as the data store for the various payment services. • Developed an automated testing suite that ran within Azure Pipelines, significantly improving the testing efficiency and reliability of deployments, while reducing manual testing efforts. • Designed a Redis cache solution to improve application performance and simplify access to shared data. • Enabled secure and efficient handling of transactions as well as protected the business against the loss of revenue through fraud prevention. • Implemented robust security measures within the microservices to protect sensitive customer data, ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS standards. • Conducted performance testing using LoadRunner leading to increased throughput and reduced latency during peak usage times. • Developed multi-staged CI/CD pipelines using both Azure and GitHub Actions. • Continually monitored deployed services using Azure Application Insights and alerts based on KQL queries. • Managed infrastructure using Terraform.

• Started a solar company with the aim of providing affordable and reliable solar energy solutions to residential and commercial customers. • Conducted market research to identify target customers and created marketing strategies to reach them. • Established relationships with suppliers and negotiated contracts for solar panels and other equipment. • Designed solar energy systems for residential clients, including conducting site visits, analyzing energy usage, and determining the optimal placement and size of solar panels. • Managed employees and subcontractors, including hiring, training, and overseeing their work. • Provided excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner. • Maintained accurate financial records, prepared financial reports, and managed the company's budget.

• Developed and maintained an ASP.NET Web API that used Entity Framework and SQL Server. • Refactored and reorganized the Javascript so that it loaded in the correct order and followed the single responsibility design principle. • Moved inline Javascript to libraries so that the code could be exported and used in an object oriented fashion. • Added caching to static data and worked on site performance. • Streamlined data processing and delivery to the UI. • Added asynchronous method calls on the WebApi layer. • Implemented several new features such as subscriptions, new payment methods and I synchronized site data with Salesforce and Braintree.

• As a consultant for Xorient I worked on a project at Charles Schwab in the Middleware division. The project focused on supporting and maintaining the Login Management System (LMS) which was responsible for handling the single sign-on authentication for the various Schwab channels. • Maintained an ASP.NET that supplied the HTML and Javascript needed by calling applications to execute the login workflows. • Performed production support for defects and login issues. • Designed and implemented feature enhancements for the software. • On-boarded and configured new clients for the platform. • Mentored team members and provided technical guidance. • Developed sprint stories and helped in sprint planning as well as all other facets of the scrum team.

• Architected software solutions for Magento, which is an industry leading open-source e-commerce software platform written in PHP. • Wrote technical vision documents. • Approved pull requests to the code base. • Applied semantic versioning to the code changes ensuring backwards compatible changes whenever possible, as well as preparing and executing major releases when backwards compatibility wasn’t achievable. • Wrote high level design documents. • Performed the architect role on multiple scrum teams. • Created epics in conjunction with the product owner and decomposed them into stories, sprints, demo and delivery. • Gave presentations on technical guidelines, coding standards and best practices.

• Worked on the Multi-Carrier Tracking project to provide package tracking data to customers through the company's ASP.NET website. • Developed tracking services using microservice architecture as well as a REST service layer for service communication. • Used ETL to combine the various data feeds from partner carriers and then deposit the canonical tracking data into a SQL Server database. • Converted legacy .NET framework solutions to the newly released .NET Core. • Worked with Docker containers for service hosting and Jenkins for CI/CD. • Created a testing suite for the services using xUnit for unit and integration tests.

• Hired to architect and develop a software solution that performs background checks on users and shows them the offenses they have on their criminal record. The system allowed the user to choose a particular offense to see if it qualifies for an expunction or non-disclosure. If the offense qualifies the system generates the necessary legal documents to expunge or non-disclose the offense. • Managed a team of developers. • Used domain driven design and onion architecture as the main solution architecture and created the application in ASP.NET. • Developed a relational database with Microsoft SQL Server and used Entity Framework as the ORM. • Created SOAP and REST services for accessing both internal and external APIs.

I worked as a contractor for Apex Systems and they placed me on the Travis County Courts software development team as the system architect. My primary objective was to develop service oriented software solutions aimed at getting court data into the hands of external stakeholders. My secondary objective was to improve performance on their existing systems. The implementation of the first objective was straight forward because they had a wealth of requirements and deep understanding of their user's needs. I developed a data layer using Entity Framework wrapped by a Repository pattern implementation. The service layer used the REST pattern through ASP.NET's Web Api library and MVC for the client side. In addition to the development work that was done I led the Travis County Courts development staff. This included mentoring them as developers, learning SCRUM, understanding the need for test driven development, and deployment strategies.

My responsibilities were focused on architecting and developing several different components of a prism/WPF based call center application. This consisted of a MVC web application for configuring the software, a distributed cache to support global clients on top of Microsoft AppFabric, the testing framework, and web services needed to support the client. I was also involved in analyzing the security needs of the application which evolved into federated security and a custom secure token service (STS). My main focus revolved around the server/services layer and its associated architecture but as a lead I took part in several other areas as well. In addition to the development responsibilities I lead a team of developers residing in both Austin and India. This included daily SCRUM meetings, mentoring, providing guidance and education on development topics, and relaying best practices for writing code.

Selected to represent the university in Washington D.C. by working as an intern for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. Went on to work for two years as a legislative assistant in the House of Representatives.
