Providing appraisals in conformance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Member of the International Society of Appraisers since 2017.

Working with specialists, researched and wrote entries for sales catalogues. Accessed LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable for comparables. Learned and utilized auction house databases for cataloguing and other assignments. Worked phone bids and assisted staff during auctions and observed the logistical complexities of the auction business. Also worked at Quinn's Auction Galleries during the Spring of 2016.

Identified, photographed, and cataloged historic decorative arts found in private homes and museums with gulf state provenance prior to 1865. Organized and edited survey records ensuring scholarship and accuracy. Researched provenance and maker information. Interacted and cultivated relationships with house museum administrators, registrars, and docents as well as local experts, homeowners, and collectors. Full-time temporary position with stipend.

Working with the Assistant Director of Curatorial Affairs researching glass and ceramic objects in the collections and preparing catalogue entries for online publication. Major projects include Liberty China and Queens Ware produced by Wedgwood for charitable relief during WWI; American Art Pottery and Glass; and Many Voices One Nation. One day per week during the academic year.

Prepared a small gallery rotation of American art pottery by developing interpretive points, preparing a checklist, planning the exhibition space, and writing labels. Installed February 2017. Assisted with other curatorial projects. The Mint Museum has the largest collection of English ceramics outside the Britain. Full-time temporary position

Passed CPA exam and obtained licensure within a year of graduation. Between 1987 and 1995, worked in the state government environment for the Commonwealth of Virginia first as an auditor and then in the internal audit department at the University of Virginia. Performed various types of audits on universities, hospitals, clerks of court and even a small newly established museum. In 1995, moved into the private not-for-profit industry as an auditor and then as an accountant for churches and private schools. Established my own accounting firm providing CFO and accounting administrative services with several clients having budgets exceeding $3 million dollars.
