Greg Combs

 Manage in excess of $1.7 billion of assets in fiduciary and investment management accounts consisting of individual securities and proprietary mutual funds.  Responsible for reviewing client accounts and executing, or developing and recommending, investment programs to achieve the client’s goals and investment objectives.  Research fixed income and equity assets to evaluate buying and selling opportunities based on market volatility, economic factors and changes in analyst’s ratings.  Interview and evaluate prospective employees for recommendation for hire.

 Responsible for the supervision and training of associates responsible for the transfer, audit, and reconciliation of securities to and from customer accounts.  Responsible for the daily coordination and monitoring of workflow within the unit to ensure completion within the designated departmental and industry standards.  Acted as an escalation point and liaison to other departments on all issues, both internal and external, for research and resolution and responsible for the weekly resolution and reporting of outstanding issues and risk to upper management.  Worked with upper management in the evaluation and redesign of the department and the constant development and improvement of processes and procedures, along with assisting in the evaluation, preparation and presentation of the departmental budget to directors.

 Responsible for the initial design and development of processes and procedures for a team whose main purpose was to mitigate departmental risk.  Supervised and trained a staff of four associates responsible for the audit and reconciliation of all free movement of securities at depositories, all physical securities on site, and the daily balancing and reconciliation of the SEI Trust Accounting System to administrators’ requests.  Responsible for the monthly assessment and reporting of risk to Banc One Finance, the directors and the managing director of BOIMG Fiduciary Operations, and assisting in the preparation and presentation of the departmental budget.  Completed Banc One Operations Management Executive Program. Topics of study included process design, capacity management, work measurement, demand forecasting, job sequencing, and work force and operations scheduling.
