For 25 years, I worked in editorial and creative strategy and human-centered design, mostly in service of large, complex organizations who were transitioning marketing, fundraising, communication, and program operations to digital. I worked inside these organizations and within their partner agencies.What I learned in that time, and what I'm best at, is helping diverse staff, stakeholder, and community groups align on strategy and implement change. In this role, I led the creation of the first generation Volkswagen eGolf U.S. digital owner portal, collaborating with designers, analysts, and engineers from Volkswagen Global and Volkswagen of America to solve complex data and design challenges. I also led the enterprise redesign of the Carnegie Institution for Science web presence, and projects to improve the performance of NASDAQ, Rosetta Stone, and The George Washington University digital channels. I worked as a subcontractor through the digital agencies NCLUD and Organic.

In this role, I led the digital owner's experience (Otto) program of agency Organic with Volkswagen of America. I guided clients and project teams to reimagine and unify the customer experience across enterprise desktop, mobile web and app, and in-car digital platforms. I partnered with VW marketing, consumer financing, after-market sales, quality and recalls, owner’s manuals and in-car connected services stakeholders and third-party vendors to break down silos and launch innovate solutions to customer challenges. I guided the overall program performance, partnering with leaders and teams across Organic, VW, and other partner agencies to accomplish goals and deliver high quality work.

Senior Director, Digital Strategy

In this role, I led the organization's use of digital investments and resources to engage the public in U.S. wildland protection campaigns. I partnered with policy, research, communication, fundraising, and organizing teams in Washington, D.C. and 11 regional offices to modernize and streamline digital operations. I guided digital strategy for corporate sponsor (Subaru, Frontier Airlines) and celebrity endorser campaigns. I led the enterprise website redesign program and transition of the member magazine from print to digital. As part of this work, I supervised five digital specialists and mentored 10 national and regional communication and fundraising strategists.

Digital & Content Strategy Consultant

In this role, I led the digital product and content strategy for the launch of AARP's LifeTuner.org, a financial literacy platform for AARP members and their families. With AARP and Genworth, I also led the learning and experience design of the "We Need To Talk" virtual training focused on driver safety and aging. For the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation, I scripted and produced an anniversary documentary celebrating the retirement of the foundation's president. I also worked with Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy to develop the organization's first printed guide to AAPIP giving. I worked independently and as a subcontractor through the digital agency NavigationArts.
