Journey to Churchill is one of the most comprehensive projects ever undertaken in Canada aimed at issues related to climate change, polar bears and other northern species. Journey to Churchill features polar bears – as well as other species - in three distinctive zones along the fascinating 10-acre route. In each zone, visitors experience a variety of landscapes and animal viewing areas. Interpretive signage, interactive displays, and audio-visual components will reinforce the key messages of biodiversity, climate change and conservation. It's a three-dimensional, four-season, five-sense educational classroom like none other, inviting exploration, challenging thinking and promoting personal action. Journey to Churchill is the flagship component of the redeveloped Assiniboine Park Zoo, setting a new international standard for polar bear exhibits world-wide.

South Okanagan Events centre (SOEC) – Penticton, British Columbia. The SOEC is a 5500 seat Multipurpose events centre containing; an NHL ice surface which is convertible to Olympic ice, a 400 seat Community ice rink, British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame, restaurant, 20 corporate suites, Wellness Centre, Galleria, and a Link to existing Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. The SOEC when considered with the existing Penticton Trade and Convention Centre is the largest multipurpose facility in British Columbia outside of the Vancouver area. Built using ASHRAE guidelines, the SOEC incorporates numerous energy efficient initiatives, including water conservation, energy conservation and recovery. LEED guidelines also determined the SOEC building envelope, by using insulated composite panels, thermally broken curtain wall with “Low E” double glazed windows, and reflective roofing material to reduce solar gain. The project was built using a fast track system, with construction start well before final design development and construction drawings were finalized.
