Overall responsibility for the finance and IT function including but not limited to the following: - Overall responsibility for re-ordering stock and relationship management with suppliers. - Monitoring branch KPI's against budget and investigating reasons for differences, finding solutions for differences and implementing the corrective action. - Liaising with legal firms (Bowman and Adams and Adams) regarding legal issues that affect the company. - Checking and releasing all local and foreign payments. - Compiling the company budget, submitting to Head Office in Belgium and dealing with queries. - Negotiating lease agreements with Landlords. - Planning and executing capital expenditure projects. - Part of the 3 person company team responsible for the sale of H Systems to Corialis, a Belgian company. - Monthly Financial and Operational Reporting to Head Office in Belgium. - Management of company pension fund. Most recent product achieved sales of R3mil plus at 35% GP in its first year (2017). - Working with the CEO to produce business plan and trading update presentations for the CEO to present in Belgium. - Business travel to China, Hong Kong, UK and Belgium for meetings with foreign suppliers and shareholders. - Provided commercial guidance to the technical committee regarding products. - Maintenance of Karabina Business Intelligence reporting software. - Overall responsibility for the functioning of the IT + ERP Systems and liaising with service providers. Worked mainly on Sage Evolution with an intermediate/advanced proficiency.

I started at the H Systems (previously Hinges and Hardware) Johannesburg branch as the project accountant. Being the first CA at the business there was much to be improved on and modernised. Some of main responsibilities were 1 - Implementing the Karabina Business Intelligence Reporting Software - Creating reports, liaising with the software provider and training branch managers. 2 - Feasibility study into the opening of new branches. 3 - Process optimisation 4 - Setting product pricing (4000 SKU's) 5 - Various reports and analysis as required
