Graham Stewart, P.Eng.

Responsible for the promotion of the society as a whole and its objectives using available University resources. I provide write-ups and approve all forms of publication to Advertising Rep and Webmaster. Duties also include designing/providing posters and overheads, handouts and any other form of publication needed to promote for the society’s events including in-class announcements. Works with VP Social and VP External to coordinate events advertisement. Lastly, I perform other duties as noted necessary by the Executive.

Inform the Class of 2017/2018 about upcoming events. Helps in organizing Faculty events such as "Meet the Profs" night. Acts as a bridge between the students and faculty.

Designs and oversees designs of PCBs required for the Anticoincidence subsystem.

The challenge is to design and manufacture a fully electric ¼ scale Formula 1 style racecar, and compete with top North American and European teams at the Formula SAE competitions. I am responsible for designing all new electrical systems of the car, as we transition from a hybrid to a fully electric car. Additionally, I am responsible for coordinating with industry leaders in order to secure sponsorship, and assisting in team management. This project gives me the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and apply it to a practical and innovative application.

In order to further my learning and give me greater practical engineering skills, I have joined McMaster NEUDOSE and McMaster Formula Hybrid. These projects give me design freedom and an insight into the total engineering design process. On McMaster NEUDOSE I am the acting lead electrical designer for the Anticoincidence subsystem. Additionally, I am the Electrical Team Co-captain for the new generation of McMaster Formula Hybrid.
