HBS was the FIFA broadcast service partner for the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by Japan and Korea. The remit was to be involved from day one of operations in Japan to provide Logistical support to the broadcast team. This involved day-to-day operations and review of the master project plan to ensure provision of accommodation, flights, transport services, IT and equipment to broadcast the games. The main focus was to develop supplier relationships and to understand the needs of the broadcast operation and translate this into a World leading service and operational solution.
