Tutoring high school students and having to adapt my teaching methods to the level of skill of the student.

This placement is a two year management trainee programme, the role involves being exposed to all areas of operation including agronomy, logistics, supply chain, processing, quality control and customer relations. Throughout the programme I have been working in five Southern African countries. I have had extensive focus on sustainability projects, collaborating with international third party sustainability companies such as AB Sustain and South Pole. Experience in the development process of new projects; including proposals, approvals and implementation. Exposure to operations of an International Corporation.

* Vacation training at Tecwin Investments, Harare, Zimbabwe. * Achievements and responsibilities * Carried out a number of chemical engineering related tasks including flowsheet development, equipment sizing, mass balances, equipment trials and site visits * Obtained process data on a pilot scale unit for the development of a new mixing tank being developed by the company for the gold mining industry * Indispensable learning experience, practicing the theory learnt in my studies.

* Worked as assistant manager of a bar in the French Alps. * Achievements and responsibilities * Led a team of 6 staff members from a variety of cultures * Trained new staff. Ran regular staff meetings to hold up motivation and standard of service * Created a new efficient stock sheet and cleaning schedule. * Interacted with people from all over the world, being exposed to many different cultures * Learnt importance of earning respect from the staff and differentiating between the management role and friendship

This roles includes managing the implementation of new projects throughout the African facilities with majority of my attention in Mozambique. Working on the engineering side with a focus to improve processing and logistical efficiencies, sustainability and reduce the company footprint. The role also involves managing the facility maintenance programmes throughout the African operations.
