Managing a Platform Engineering organization on Indeed that compute, networking, load balancing, service-to-service communication, data storage, and cloud governance.

The Compute Platform group that I led provides common platforms utilized by all of Indeed's product teams for running their applications in managed QA and Production environments. We develop, manage and configure common runtime components, Kubernetes clusters, the service mesh, secrets management, IAM, and continuous deployment infrastructure worldwide.

Led an organization of 5 groups and 25 people, including 2 managers, reporting to the Senior Director of Service Platforms. The Compute Platform group that I led provides common platforms utilized by all of Indeed's product teams for running their applications in managed QA and Production environments. We develop, manage and configure common runtime components, Kubernetes clusters, the service mesh, secrets management, IAM, and deployment infrastructure worldwide. Our group made application provisioning and deployment self-service: moving Indeed from bare-metal provisioned services to Mesos and eventually Kubernetes. In addition we've pushed a low-to-no-effort modernization effort to migrate applications to containerized runtimes and a service mesh.
