I found my love for coding when I did data analysis for one of my experiments in Nanyang Technological University. The process of debugging, learning new code, and finding solutions is not that much different with the process of trouble shooting an experiment went awry. It was refreshing, and the whole cycle of trying out new things, testing new code and getting a result is much faster than traditional experiment that I did in a biological laboratory. I instantly fell in love with the whole process. With a new found passion, I engorge new knowledge about general coding in Python. I ensured that whatever skills I learnt in laboratory is transferable, one of many of those skills is data analytics. I learned data visualisation software (such as Power BI and Tableau) to update my data analytics skills and fortunately, it landed me a job as a data analyst in Ministry of Education Singapore. Through this opportunity, I learnt various automation software (UIpath, python, VBA, and so on) and become fascinated with the upcoming big technology and generative AI.
