Performing a strategic business plan development assessing the technologies available to produce a biochar product from waste biomass feedstocks. Product market assessments and production economics are investigated that will align with the client's current business operations and future direction. The goals of the project are to utilize a waste biomass stream in an environmentally sustainable process and develop a profitable production operation.

Managed MRIGlobal's former Butler Research Farm focused on renewable energy conversion platforms at pilot scale. Performed business development, proposal preparation, project management and technical lead roles for a variety of renewable energy projects. Focused on industries and technologies in which the Butler Facilities could provide the greatest value to potential clients; waste-to-energy, biomass production, algae production and process integration, plant nutrient recovery. Formed research and development collaborations with industry and universities to pursue large Federal research program opportunities from the USDA, DOE, EPA and DOD. Obtained Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Top Secret security clearance.

AgRenew was a true start up company formed to commercialize bio-based technologies originating from Kansas State University. As a small company, many roles were performed such as technology evaluation, R&D proposal preparation, Principal Investigator, Project Manager, business development, Subcontractor Manager, and product commercialization evaluations. While at AgRenew I was awarded with over $2 millions in competitive research funding and co-inventor on three issued patents and two other filed patents. Primary product development project was an edible/biodegradable straw based container product that was scaled from university bench top through production plant start-up. Product is commercialized and sold under the Crystalyx livestock feed (trade name BioBarrrelTM) Built pilot scale operation for BioBarrel production facility consisting of various material handling and processing unit operations. Successful achieved production and economic targets and sold the product rights and process to an industry leader. Project Manager for biobased fermentation technologies for various organic acid production. Project Manager and Technical Lead for a biodegradable plastic technology which utilized compound extrusion, sheet extrusion and thermoforming processes for horticulture applications.

Focused on non food uses for agricultural materials. Protein adhesives, fiber composites
