I am a first-generation finance entrepreneur with over two decades of experience across employment, academia, professional practice, corporate finance advisory, and founding and scaling multiple entrepreneurial ventures. My journey began at Citibank in Corporate Banking and Treasury, and gradually evolved into what is today the Prachay Group — a fast-growing financial conglomerate headquartered in Pune. From founding a boutique investment banking firm in 2010 to launching an RBI-registered NBFC in 2017, a SEBI-registered AIF in 2021, and an Online Bond Platform in 2024 — every step was a response to one central question: "How can businesses gain better access to finance? " Through the financial ecosystem created at Prachay, we aim to provide appropriate and adequate finance options to mid-to-large businesses — the real engines of India’s economic growth, yet underserved by both traditional banking and the debt capital markets. In 2025, we successfully managed the first public issue of bonds by Prachay Capital on the BSE. Our mission is to deepen India’s corporate bond market and channelise more direct investment into real businesses.
