FILL is a festival of literature and ideas which brings together writers and thinkers from different backgrounds to discuss literature, politics, migration, translation and contemporary topics in the inspiring setting of a treasured Victorian theatre, The Coronet Theatre, in the heart of Notting Hill, London. Launched in 2017 in the aftermath of the Brexit referendum by an independent group of London-based Italian authors, journalists, translators and academics, FILL features an impressive line-up of award-winning names, established writers and emerging ones, panel discussions, performances and special events. As co-director of the festival I am involved in all the aspects of the festival, from conception to delivery. I work on the programme, liaise with guests and contribute to expand the list of partners. I am involved in the creation of the visual identity of the festival and the communication strategy.

Managing the creation, coding, storage, maintenance and delivery of content data and metadata for use across a range of Bloomsbury’s product websites, from initial production of digital content through to online delivery of high-quality and cost-efficient products. Briefing XML suppliers on the application of editorial data conversion models, monitoring performance and feeding back findings of quality assurance (QA) processes into data conversion, modelling and QA processes, use of XQuery, xPath and XSLT to analyse and transform XML. Data Modeling and Analysis for use across Digital Platforms. Coordination of the QA team; reviewing and updating of QA processes and checklists.

LWM proposes a new research paradigm – a radical collaboration between historians, data scientists, geographers, computational linguists, and curators – using computational techniques and very large datasets in order to ask questions about the ways in which technology altered the very fabric of life in Britain. As a Data and Content Manager I work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that digitised data and content is available for storage and advanced analysis. This includes leading the development and implementation of relevant workflows, including data aggregation, transfer, cleaning, description and mapping of different formats and processes.

Digital humanities research takes place at the intersection of digital technologies and humanities. It aims to produce applications and models that make possible new kinds of research, both in the humanities disciplines and in computer science and its allied technologies. It also studies the impact of these techniques on cultural heritage, memory institutions, libraries, archives and digital culture.
