This requires the ability to fast understand the main challenges and problematics of the company, to fast gather the right teams around an exciting well-understood turnaround strategy, together with a robust simple plan carefully executed. Leading and inspiring teams in critical situations is the common thread of my professional career. Success stories - 15 years at ArjoWiggins have given me several opportunities to fix, address, transform speciality papers businesses in Europe, from full restructuring to developing B2B worldwide, delivering sustainable strong financial performance. - It has then been an exciting challenge for 6 years to turn a loss-making French player in the decorative laminate industry, who was in full disarray, into a successful and profitable European leader, thanks to the energy and commitment of the teams. This turnaround has delivered significant value creation materialised when the decorative laminate branch was carved out from ITW and acquired by CD&R (PE). - The full turnaround of Heras, European premium brand and leading company for Perimeter protection solutions, has been a challenging but thrilling experience and achievement. Taking the group back to profitability, building a strong team to serve and deliver an ambitious growth strategy has enabled a successful value creation for CRH when Heras got acquired through the LBO done together with Equistone (PE) and the management team. The transformation of Heras (from ESG to financials) has then accelerated with a strong focus on simplification combined with growth of a richer mix of activities enabled by M&A.
