Key Achievements and Ongoing Responsibilities • Built a European advocacy function – developed a firm-wide strategy and governance framework for public policy, including a stakeholder map and engagement plan. • Executing an advocacy programme to deliver thought leadership and public policy priorities, positions and strategies in the UK and the EU. • Leading all aspects of European public policy stakeholder relations, including policymakers, trade associations, business groups and non-government bodies. • Providing counsel on critical policy developments to the C-suite and compliance, product, business development and engineering teams. • Executing an external communications strategy, including media interviews, public speaking at industry conferences and external publications. Advocacy achievements • Secured proportionate application of information requirements for digital asset transfers in the EU’s Transfer of Funds Regulation. • Worked with industry bodies and peers to deliver substantive changes to the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR), including to listing and disclosure rules. • Engaged with EU co-legislators to secure risk-based customer due diligence requirements for providers of private key digital wallets in the EU AML Regulation.
