I was the Infrastructure Architect with the goal of building common designs, standards, and strategies between the different teams and departments at Loyola Marymount University. Highlights of my accomplishments: • Designed low voltage cable systems for new construction and ensured that architectural drawings were complete and accurate. I was the senior engineer on the network team that designs, improves, and maintains the network infrastructure. Highlights of my accomplishments: • Amazon Web Services – An ongoing project to integrate AWS with our existing infrastructure with the goal of making AWS available for use as a platform for applications and IaaS. • Multigigabit and Wave 2 AC Wireless – Ongoing project to replace aging infrastructure with Multigigabit capable switching and wave 2 access points. • Network Re-architecture 2.0 – This is an ongoing project to completely re-architect the network design from the ISP to distribution at our law school campus. • DDI – An ongoing project to update our IP address management, DNS, and DHCP services. • IPv6 – Ongoing project to enable end to end IPv6 connectivity. • Aruba – This was a project at our law school to install a completely new wireless authentication system as well as migrate to a new controller infrastructure. The project was completed with zero downtime to users. • Data Center Move – This was a project to move our infrastructure from an old outdated datacenter to our newly constructed datacenter. • Employee of the Year – 2015-2016

I was the lead engineer on the network team worked to design, improve, and maintain the network infrastructure. Highlights of my accomplishments are: • New Datacenter – This was a massive project in which we converted an old telecom room into a state of the art datacenter. The project required that we work in a space where downtime was not possible. We installed all new cabinets, hot isle containment, pre-action fire suppression, chilled water mechanical systems, in row CRVs, and converted an old office into a stand-alone UPS room with generator backup. The project required the reinforcement of the floor due to static loads, the relocation of 300+ pairs of fiber, and the relocation of our network infrastructure into server cabinets. • Life Science Building – This project was to plan, build, and configure the network infrastructure in a brand new 100,000 square foot science building. The space contains of state of the art classrooms, labs, and technology which all needed to be supported by robust network infrastructure. • Cisco Wireless Controller – I installed and configured a highly available pair of cisco 8510 wireless LAN controllers and then migrated our entire wireless infrastructure from eight WiSMs to the new system with no downtime. • Stadium Wireless – Designed and installed a new wireless network to support 4200 users in the basketball arena using Cisco’s stadium wireless solutions. • Firewall Audit – I went through our firewalls line by line auditing and documenting every line, object, and NAT. • Internet Improvements – Working with our ISP we were able to utilize DWDM to bring additional bandwidth to our campus. We also constructed a secondary outbound path for geographical redundancy. • Infrastructure Audit – After taking responsibility Law School network operations I performed a complete audit and documentation of the infrastructure.

The project included a new design, configuration, and implementation. • McAfee Antivirus – This project was to replace an old Symantec antivirus system with a new McAfee system. I configured a new ePO server and migrated all campus computers to the new system. • Splunk – In this project I migrated from our old kiwi syslog server to a new Splunk deployment
