Responsible for providing overall implementation, development and maintenance control and integrity for all segments of the medical center Procurement Systems and associated data repositories, including Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Materials Operations, Receiving, Contracting, Vendor Management, and Accounting. Primary responsibilities: Vendor file, Item File, e-commerce & EDI partnerships, PeopleSoft user support, requester training, business process improvement "req to check", audit controls, data requests, data support for value analysis. Direct oversight for both the Purchasing Services and Procurement Systems teams.

Responsible for all aspects of the computerized Supply Chain systems. Design, develop, implement, and maintain operational systems for the department. Determine and implement system enhancements and upgrades. Participate in the development of standards and software selection. Recommend design and application processing improvements both within the department and to users. Responsible for daily system operations by working with Information Systems personnel and software vendors to resolve system bugs and malfunctions. Provide analytical and technical guidance to multiple user groups. Review, develop and maintain policies and procedures to enhance and protect the integrity, security and efficient use of system. Oversee the daily operational integrity of all Point of Service hardware and software used by Supply Chain and other departments. Assist Manager in any Operational function as required and is primary trainer for all new employees within Supply Chain.

Was responsible for the review, analysis, coordination and administration of the hospital group purchasing organization (GPO) and local contract agreements. Maintain contract documentation and track hospital compliance with GPO committed contracts. Provide cost analyses reports to requestors regarding product impact on departmental budgets. In charge of maintaining and tracking product recall and product problem notices in accordance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate product trials, conversions, and provide product information and support to the Materials Management inventory staff.

Was is responsible for providing Purchasing Services staff, internal customers, and external suppliers, support in resolving complex and urgent procurement related issues that would arise. This often involved stepping in when Buyers needed assistance with difficult situations. I also coordinated and monitored Purchase Order confirmations, personally resolving critical order acceptance and delivery issues as they would arise. I also worked with Information Services, satellite purchasing groups and Finance management to develop ideas for process improvement as well as testing.

Was responsible for the preparation and placement of purchase orders for assigned commodities and supplies. Responsibilities included planning, organizing, constructing and deploying the most cost effective and expeditious methods of procurement.

Was responsible for managing and supporting the Metals division by interfacing with different manufacturing groups ensuring all products procured were to internal & external customer specifications with emphasis on Quality, Cycle Time Reduction and Cost Savings.
