As a project engineer I was relied on for technical leadership and design expertise of Solar PV and BESS systems. This included: - Site inspections and evaluation - Solution specification and preliminary designs - Scope of works definition and execution strategy - Work pack planning and generation - Compliance verification (international, national and local) - Comissioning - Technical support and troubleshooting. - SCADA implementation and testing. - Network design and IOT systems integration. In this role I was required to work closely with project management, on site construction managers, suppliers and clients.

Solar PV Design Engineer

As a Solar PV Design Engineer I was initially responsible for the driving of sales, designs, costings and project management. My role quickly developed into a more senior project focused role where I was expected to operate from initial client engagement to QC and commissioning as well as managing all post sales support. I was responsible for: - On site and remote troubleshooting, data analytics and the execution of any technical changes. - Training of staff with newly adopted methods and systems - Site audits and preventative maintenance management. - Initial client engagement - System design - Proposal compiling - BOQ generation - Work pack compiling - Procurement and ordering - SSEG registration - Construction management - Final commissioning and client handover and training. Ensuring client satisfaction and trust in systems was the key objective. I parted with this role to further develop as a candidate professional technologist in the Renewable Energy industry.
