Working for the Institute for Energy Systems in the School of Engineering. Duties: - Implementation of MATLAB and Simulink Algorithms on Real Time HW for improving the efficiency of Wind and Tidal Turbines while minimizing losses. - Teaching the "Data Acquisition and Handling Course" in the School of Physics and Astronomy

Working for the Particle Physics Experiment (PPE) research group in the School of Physics and Astronomy. Involved in the upgrades of ATLAS and LHCb experiments at CERN. Among others my duties were involving the following: - Flex/Rigid PCB design using Altium Designer - Firmware development for micro-controllers using special IDE SW - Debugging and System integration - Instruments and components Commissioning - Development and Teaching of the Senior Honors Course "Data Acquisition and Handling" which is built around the popular Raspberry-Pi Linux box.

Duties: I was in charge of the electronics design of the "EOLOS" Post Column Derivatization system which is used in HPLC analysis. Among others my duties were involving the following: - System/board level design using special CAD SW - Firmware development for microcontrollers using special IDE SW - System integration - Parts Commissioning - Debugging - PCB rework

Under affiliation with Imperial College London, I was responsible for the (FPGA) firmware development as well as testing and commissioning of the Wheel Card (Jet trigger) which is part of the CMS Global Calorimeter Trigger system. The CMS Global Calorimeter Trigger (GCT) uses data from the CMS calorimeters to compute a number of kinematical quantities which characterize the LHC event. The GCT output is used by the Global Trigger (GT) along with data from the Global Muon Trigger (GMT) to produce the Level-1 Accept (L1A) decision. The Wheel Card receives and processes all jet Candidates from the CMS trigger electronics and computes Et, Ht and Missing Et. The project has successfully finished and the Wheel Card is installed, fully tested and is working along with LHC and CMS.

Participation in the “I-Imas” European research project as an Electronics Engineer for both software and hardware tasks in the responsibility of the UOI HEP LAB group.

Responsible for teaching the ANSI C programming language to 1st year undergraduate students.

Responsible for teaching the staff of small enterprises the advantages of using the internet in order to promote the company’s prestige and automate their daily workload.

Responsible for teaching Telematic Applications to 3rd year undergraduate students.

Responsible for setting up and maintaining Personal Computers and small Local Area Networks. Provide Hardware support to customers on their premises.
