SuperCruise - Map Generation

- Working with the Autonomy team in developing the Perception Stack for autonomous boats (lvl 1-3). - Working with sensors such as LiDAR, Stereo Cameras, INS etc to develop localization, SLAM and Path planning capabilities.

Augmented Listening Laboratory(Andrew Singer's Research Group): • Developed a “digital twin” for the spider-cam style robot in the mechatronic acoustic room studio so that the users can setup audio experiments in the Gazebo robotics simulator/physics engine

• Developed a smart organizer with ventilation systems that allows the user to quickly locate the object they want through an Android app and LEDs with electrical engineer and computer scientist • Designed the smart organizer with Fusion360 and presented to the client with a detailed specification of components and manufacturing method for mass production • Programmed the ESP32 chip to turn on and set up a schedule of UV sanitization light for COVID-19 remotely via Alexa and the Blynk IoT platform

• Re-modeled the rear wing endplate louvers using Creo parametric 6.0 to have a fully parametrized model • Performed research and parameter sweeps on louvers that led to weight reduction and about 5% overall improvement in aerodynamic performance • Examined literature reviews of aerodynamic features on racecars with team members through weekly tech talks

• Initiated and led two teams of 5 people modeling and launching rockets for Team America Rocketry Challenge • Conducted research and budgeting on rocket parts to make sure team has advantage on altitude and stability within safety compliance while saving team nearly 100 dollars on motors • Managed Engineering notebook to document thinking and building process for reflection and improvement on rocket after each launch test.
