Supervise reception operations to ensure consistently delivered exceptional customer service to guests. Supervise accurate and efficient Reception operations including check in/out procedures. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front office team with an emphasis on training and teamwork. Conduct training programs on an on going basis. Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up selling opportunities.

Responsible for analyzing local market trends in order to recommend strategies to ensure development of future and repeat business. Actively look after existing accounts with view of growing share of wallet and market share. Target new accounts for individual business travelers. Negotiate room rates with corporate clients. Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions. Attend sales events. Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads. Qualify new Individual Business Travelers accounts.

Maximizing revenue opportunities in the area of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. Frequent interaction with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Receive and covert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue. Manage an event’s schedule to maximize yield. Arrange and carry out Hotel Show rounds. Focus on a consistently executed up selling approach.

Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check in/out and complete audit procedures. Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times. Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.

Manage the needs of VIP guests. Serve as point of contact for long stay guests of 14 days or longer. Manage, record and resolve promptly guest or customer complaints. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation. Communicate with the Executive Lounge Manager and track and reward regular guests for their loyalty.
