Creating a first in class customer and carrier facing environment for my logistics branch. As a Branch Manager, my primary focus is the development and management of all branch strategies and operations, including business development, carrier and customer management, and channel growth strategies for the branch. I develop operational and internal plans to drive achievement of financial goals and objectives and meet customer and carrier expectations; identify and access internal, external transportation demands, and forecasting requirements. I work in partnership with the leadership pricing team as they support the overall productivity and cost-effectiveness of the branch, ensuring permanent business.

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations and workflow of the intermodal/domestic team. Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies and customer requirements. Work with the business development team and other terminals to improve efficiencies profitability and customer service. Train, manage, and oversee staff. Communicate and coordinate with regional operators to ensure accurate and timely information regarding all shipments. P&L responsibilities. • Oversee and maintain accounts for 11 high-value customers, by quoting capacity for the movement of cargo from their respective warehouses to rail yards or ocean ports for export. Receive and process orders from customers for export and invoice the customers for services rendered to complete shipments. • Coordinated over 3,500 shipments for customers and produced $325,000+ in profits since my employment. • Constantly communicate and negotiate with multiple trucking carriers to get the best rates and best services for the customer, while also making a profit for the company. • Making sure that all shipments are entered into the cargo tracking system and updated so that each leg of the shipment is coordinated, scheduled, and tracked so that any unforeseen circumstances can be immediately addressed and mitigated. • Resourcing new trucking carriers to add to our pool of carriers so that we can offer more flexibility to our customers and provide more capacity to be able to handle more freight to increase profits. • Work closely with customers via email, phone, video conference, or face-to-face meetings to resolve any issues they may have or to present to them our plan to keep their business and work with them in the following fiscal year.

• Executed and optimized company transports considering cost, service (lead time requirements), and other planning parameters. Saving the company $120,000 in transportation costs in 2 months. • Utilized various Transportation Management Systems (Eye Freight) to facilitate material movement, planning, and scheduling, and made use of different planning techniques including load planning tools. • Prepared and updated monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with customers. • Worked closely with transport service providers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assisted in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and prepared proper transportation paperwork and export documentation • Supported the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintained master data. • Calculated total transportation lead time and transport cost and justify cost overruns when they occur. • Planned and optimized multi-leg shipments (e.g. ocean and airfreight). • Worked closely with the Customer Service team for optimum load selection and communicated any potential issues affecting pickup and/or delivery.

• Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities. • Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements. • Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. • Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. • Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times. • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. • Participates in special projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide oral and written advice on specific issues regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Task Orders, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programming and inventory/accountability of over S200,000,000 in Special Projects equipment deployed worldwide. • Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Task Orders, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports • Submit and track all Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders submitted by DS/STO/PT, Protective Technology. • Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory of DS/STO/PT equipment and controlled loaned DoD/OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities. Technical Requirements: • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), Contingency • Communications Radios (CCR), and vehicle-based Mobile Video recording Systems (MVS), Unmanned •Radar based Indirect Fire early warning systems (Sense and Warn). • Assists in the training of overseas Field Service Representatives and Logisticians on the use of CMMS mobile and production equipment. • Proficient in written/verbal communication skills • Assists with the configuration of all tactical communications systems prior to shipment

• Advised and assisted on all matters pertaining to cargo movement. • Provided subject matter expertise for transportation IAW the DTR 4500.9-R- Part II and movement of cargo, i.e. ground, air and sea. • Provided Transportation Planning advice to ensure that equipment transportation arrangements are compatible with the Project Equipment Packaging, Handling, Shipping & Transportation Plan and schedule. • Experience and working knowledge of the US Army Logistics and Transportation systems. • Tracked and recorded the supply and shipping status of items from either government depots or industry through the transportation pipeline to final destinations, both CONUS and OCONUS. • Retrieved and analyzed various logistics/supply/shipping documents and recorded the status of the shipments. • Excellent communication and teaming skills; ability to record and produce shipment status reports, prepare charts and graphs, and brief the status to the directors and senior government officials. • Ensured in-transit- visibility of equipment and property via appropriate use of Government Furnished Radio Frequency Identification tags and automated shipment tracking such as GATES, Global Transportation Network (GTN), IGC, and shipment tracking through REF commercial accounts with DHL, FEDEX, and UPS. • Ensured end-to-end in transit management of all Department of Defense provided cargo containers. • Provided daily receipt, shipment and in-transit-location reports including populating appropriate information into the data base. • Analyzed hand receipts and component listings for all equipment received, stored, and shipped to Source of Repairs or end users. • Participated in transportation meetings with all customers in order to plan, forecast, coordinate, and manage transportation requirements.

• Assisted the Unit Embarkation Officer and Unit Commander in the decision- making for all aspects of unit embarkation. • Provided embarkation guidance, assistance, and training to the unit prior to deployment. • Developed, analyzed, and executed movement and embarkation / load plans. • Monitored the loading and offloading of personnel, equipment, and accompanying supplies aboard ships, aircraft, rail, and other modes of transportation. • Ensured in-transit- visibility (ITV) of equipment and property via appropriate use of Government Furnished Radio Frequency Identification tags and automated shipment tracking such as GATES, Global Transportation Network (GTN), and IGC. • Coordinated all basic logistics and combat service support functions in support of Marine Air Ground Task Force operations. Specifically the Air portion supporting CH-53s, AH-1Ws, UH-1Ns, Ch-46s, and AV-8Bs. • Successfully deployed 2,400+ personnel and over 600,000 pounds of cargo to and from CONUS in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in coordination with LMCC. • Maintained and manipulated MDSS II data for the unit which was critical for re-deployment back to CONUS. • Successfully embarked unit assets aboard commercial ships for the first time in unit deployment history. • Trained the Battalion embark representatives on the proper procedures to prepare unit assets for embarking aboard AMC aircraft or United States Navy Amphibious ships. • Assisted the course director in creating, updating and producing student handouts, lesson plans and media for all courses. • Collected and validated all course material for After Instruction Reports (AIR), ensuring the AIR was completed and routed in a timely manner. • Maintained the courses computer lab, containing over $400,000 in computer and wireless technology. • Successfully trained 1242 Marines in United States Marine Corps Mobility Systems.
