Leading and managing a team of 16 Contracts Managers and Contracts Administrators spread over the APAC region covering all onshore and offshore projects under construction. Including setting process and procedure standards, driving lessons learned from a commercial perspective, setting and managing department budgets and enhancing collaboration with other regions and the global contracts function. Member of the leadership teams for the AUNZ business and the APAC construction division.

Responsible for preparation of costings and bids for onshore and offshore projects across the APAC region, leading a team of 20 geographically diverse professionals. Took the lead in an inherited change management process and enhanced collaboration between functions.

Seconded to COP on the Zhong Neng Offshore Wind Farm: • Leading the Contracts Management function for the WTG package, including localisation requirements. • Interim WTG Package Manager following the departure of the incumbent and during the extended search for a replacement. • Provision of assistance to the Foundation Package during claims disputes. • Deputy to the Procurement and Contracts Director. Preparing and presenting aspects of the ‘Renewable Contract Management’ course for the Renewable Construction Academy (RECOA).

Leading and managing a team of Contracts Managers and Contracts Administrators across a portfolio of windfarms in construction across Australia and New Zealand with a value in excess of AUD3 Billion.

Pre-Contracts: Negotiation of all contracts (EPC, BOP, Transport and Installation) for assigned sales and development projects. Project Execution: Management of upstream and downstream claims and disputes on assigned projects, providing leadership of Contracts Managers and Administrators.

Management of all contractual issues across multiple concurrent wind farm construction (six no.) and service projects. This has included full EPC scope under a consortium arrangement along with supply and install only. A significant challenge was the financial position of the consortium partner across four projects, creating major performance issues and leading to the transfer of scope midstream and negotiation of a debt funding package. Provision of contractual and commercial advice and support to project managers and directors, and management and supervision of contracts administrators allocated to projects. Responsible for a team of Contracts Administrators and the management of performance securities and provision of insurances.

Management of head and subcontracts, along with scheduling utilising P6 and MS Project, for multiple wind farm projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. Also Contract Management and claims support for combined cycle gas turbine power stations, gas compressor warranty issues, and the supply of E-Rooms for the Roy Hill iron ore mine. In this role I oversaw all project related contracts, including intra and inter company. This included negotiation of terms, preparation, tracking and resolution of claims as well as compliance with administrative terms. I was seconded to the Diamantina Power Station and Roy Hill projects by the head of Siemens legal department specifically to provide claims support and assistance with the recovery of these projects. Also responsible for scheduling of wind projects from the sales phase through to completion.

(Contract Role) Superintending the civil works component of a major facility upgrade in a live manufacturing environment, included ensuring compliance with Department of Defence export control and ITAR requirements.

(Contract Role) Managing head contract claims on the reconstruction of the Southern Star Observaton Wheel in Melbourne.

Superintendance of land development projects, provision of contractual advise to Project Managers, assisting Legal Counsel with construction related issues and claims and the preparation and presentation of an in-house 12 part Contract Administration course.

Contract Management and project scheduling for EPCM Wind Farm projects throughout Australia.
