Assisted in opening the new "Superstore". Received merchandise, set up racking and merchandise. After store opening, responsible for all administrative functions in the store. Responsible for total store operation in the absence of the Store Manager.

Served as subject matter expert for areas of expertise, including the cash management system and Informix SQL. Designed and implemented Java software to integrate coin recycler at front-end cash registers for evaluation as proof of concept in several stores. Led development efforts to rewrite cash management system, which moved company away from DOS based, third party software package to robust and easy to use in-house application. Served as liaison with offshore outsourcing firm during development of cash management system. While working on cash management system, took on additional responsibilities in supporting globalization of applications. Taught and supervised new team member with Informix programming. During time of ambiguous direction, worked through issues and obstacles with the Security Architecture team to get clear direction on security issues. Facilitated open and honest communication and conflict resolution.
