Oversight and general management responsibilities for iiSM.ORG’s training, website and community including site software development, research, content, events, marketing and fund raising. iiSM’s mission is to support the development of software leaders throughout their career. Since 2020, we have served over 274,000 unique guests globally in 361 time zones with hundreds of pages of software management materials, research and articles.

Business development -- helping customers find solutions for their software engineering needs. Roles involved developing proposals to address emerging engineering needs in a timely fashion, technical consulting, customer development, and content development including website and marketing materials.

Responsible for development of Advantage, IGT’s flagship casino management suite of 27 related products, having a global deployment base of 200+ casinos. Duties include managing a geographically distributed development team of 130+ software engineers with offices in Las Vegas, Reno, Melbourne and Beijing. Assignments at IGT include: Development Director of Casinolink Software and Embedded Devices and Director of Analytics for the Mariposa Product Family.

Head of Gaming Products Development over a variety of software and hardware platforms including: leading-edge, web-based gaming platform, EGM cabinets, Matrix video slots, game content, progressive controllers, system interface boards, signage, player tracking hardware and related devices. Staff included: software, hardware, electrical, and firmware development; Quality Assurance, Technical Writing and Engineering Services, located in a geographically distributed organization. Oversight for: IP committee, parts venders, prototypes, engineering BOM creation/maintenance, document control, overseas outsourcing for new hardware. Duties included: budgeting, staffing, business development support, guidance on agreements, and sales support for international customer base.

Lead Game Software and Hardware Development Departments. Responsible for implementation, approval, maintenance and support of game software and associated hardware.

Lead Advanced R&D Group, responsible for mixed team of highly experienced Software, Firmware, Electrical & Hardware Gaming Engineers. Established IP suite of 7 provisional patents protecting new product pipeline.

Responsible for creating new game concepts, creating math models, developing simulations for games with complex math models and coding a large variety special projects. Special projects include: implementation and testing of random number generator for primary slot platform, tools for automating game development pipeline, and information systems for managing engineering department. Systems developed included: project management, time accounting, change control and document control systems.

Architect of the “Smart System” Player Tracking/Slot Accounting System, Project Lead for Server-based Cashless Systems “Instant Keno”, Project Lead for Custom Systems for Summa Corporation. Awarded Patent (5,326,104) for Automated Cashless Gaming System.
