As Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Shriram Finance Ltd (formerly known as Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd), I lead the company’s IT strategy and operations, with end-to-end oversight of IT infrastructure management, change and incident management, IT procurement, vendor management, help desk systems, data center/disaster recovery (DC/DR) coordination, networking, IT security implementation, CCTV/biometric systems, mobile device management (MDM), and integration of UIDAI eKYC services. My responsibilities also include conducting internal, statutory, and regulatory IT audits; driving the implementation and continuous adherence to ISO 27001 standards; and managing IT budgeting, recruitment, training, and the evaluation and deployment of emerging technologies. I lead a team of over 300 IT professionals, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient technology solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.

As Assistant Vice President – IT at Shriram Value Services Limited, I was responsible for overseeing infrastructure operations at the onsite corporate office of Shriram Transport Finance Ltd. My role included end-to-end management of vendor relations, IT procurement, technology implementation, IT support services, data center/disaster recovery (DC/DR) operations, networking, CCTV, and biometric systems across Pan-India offices. I played a key role in managing audits related to ISO 27001 standards, VAPT, and internal/statutory/regulatory compliance. To reduce dependency on FMS/AMC outsourcing, I recruited IT teams at key geographic locations. Collaborating with the development team, I successfully implemented an asset management module covering the entire lifecycle—from requirement to scrapping. I also implemented several new policies and best practices to streamline IT infrastructure operations nationwide, resulting in a significant reduction in issue resolution turnaround time (TAT) and an increase in asset longevity. I led a team of over 100 IT professionals and managed IT infrastructure for more than 1,000 offices across India.

As General Manager – IT at Shriram Value Services Limited, I served as the Head of IT Infrastructure for Shriram City Union Finance Ltd, operating from its corporate office in Chennai. My responsibilities included vendor management, decision-making for IT procurement, technology implementation, and IT support services across all offices in India. I was also responsible for recruitment and training, implementation of ISO 27001 standards, and oversight of internal, statutory, and regulatory audits. I led a team of over 50 IT professionals, ensuring robust infrastructure and compliance across the organization.

As General Manager - IT (North Region) at Shriram Transport Finance Limited, I led the regional IT strategy and operations, overseeing the Commercial Vehicle Loan Management System, Fixed Deposit System, and the rollout and training of UNO applications across all Northern region offices. My responsibilities included ensuring robust system performance, regulatory compliance through internal and statutory audits, and driving digital transformation initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and customer service. I managed and mentored a team of 15 IT professionals, and led them to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions that supported Shriram Transport Finance’s mission of providing accessible and innovative financial services to a diverse customer base, especially in underserved markets.

As General Manager – IT at Shriram Overseas Finance Limited, I served as the Head of IT, overseeing the strategic planning, development, and enhancement of the organization’s core technology platforms, including the Loan Management System and Fixed Deposit System. My responsibilities encompassed the end-to-end development and implementation of branch operations systems, ensuring robust support for internal and statutory audit requirements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

As Assistant General Manager - IT at Shriram Overseas Finance Limited, I led the IT function, overseeing the management and enhancement of the Loan Management System and Fixed Deposit System, as well as the development and implementation of Branch Operations Systems. I was responsible for ensuring robust internal and statutory audit processes, while managing and mentoring an IT team of eight members. My role supported the company’s mission of financial inclusion and operational excellence by delivering secure, efficient technology solutions that enable seamless financing services for commercial entities and underserved segments, in alignment with Shriram Group’s relationship-based business model.

During the transition from Shriram General Finance Ltd to Shriram Overseas Finance Ltd, I worked for two months at Vean Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Shriram Group. My responsibilities included handling Loan Management and Fixed Deposit systems.

Joined as a Trainee and was subsequently promoted to the position of Assistant Manager at Shriram General Finance Ltd. During this period, I was responsible for managing various aspects of Loan Management and Fixed Deposit systems.
