Responsible for Mine Planning including Life of Mine, 5 year planning, 2 year planning and budgets, Integrated Supply Chain Planning, Decarbonisation Planning Support, and corporate technical data systems and process oversight.

Responsible for Mine Planning, Hydrogeology, Surface Water Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Ground Control, Integrated Supply Chain Planning, and Data Systems services for the iron ore business.

• Manage a team of principal mining engineers, senior mine planning engineers and supply chain co-ordinators. • Accountable for all mine planning work across all of MRL’s business units, managing the mine planning team to deliver optimisations, LOM and regional integrated plans, 5 year and 2 year planning work, as well as quality co-ordination and supply chain planning for all operating lithium and iron ore sites. • Structure and facilitate the mining services operational budget development, including providing significant input and review of capital forecasts and schedules. • Provide significant contribution to business development, acquisition due diligence and valuation, and regional studies work across a wide range of commodities including copper, rare earth, mineral sands, manganese, gold, coal and others. • Deliver technical support for existing mining services tenders and lead modelling and tender pack development for new mining services contracts, including many with tier 1 miners such as Rio Tinto, Roy Hill and BHP. • Provide companywide mine planning oversight, including capacity planning, succession planning, technical training strategy and software support, selection and review. • Undertake financial modelling and optimisation works to evaluate significant capital projects and hierarchy of spend. • Consolidate and structure strategy discussions and decisions into concise high impact documents for facilitation / presentation to senior executives.

Managing the tactical and strategic mine planning department producing 2 year, 5 year and LOM planning work for all of Mineral Resources’ operations across both Iron Ore and Lithium commodities. Undertaking business development opportunity analysis and assessment across resource, company and infrastructure acquisition targets. Actively develop business planning and strategy documents and systems. Manage the supply chain quality team coordinating product delivery across both Lithium and Iron Ore commodities in the Pilbara and Yilgarn regions.

Developing and evaluating operational and financial models assessing prospective acquisitions and large scale capital projects. Undertaking analysis and planning work to facilitate executive level decision making. Evaluating company wide operations to identify synergistic and integrative opportunities. Contributing to culture, process and training development projects across multiple sites.

Working at MRL’s Iron Valley and Koolyanobbing Operations, developing mining operation strategy and undertaking pit design and optimisation. Conducting operation and business initiatives feasibility studies in conjunction with medium term mine planning scenarios and participating in the budget development/re-forecasting process. Providing technical and strategic leadership to Technical Services and Production personnel. Alternate Quarry Manager.

Working at the Iron Valley operation in a general technical and mine planning role. Developing and communicating robust weekly and quarterly mine plans for maximum safety, efficiency and value generation. Medium Term and Life of Mine plan development including closure planning work and pit design and optimisation. Developing the systems and processes to integrate XACT scheduling and other technical services activities into the current planning process, including planning horizon interactions, compliance measurements and information feedback loops. Conducting technical market analysis and developing mathematical algorithm structures for FX trading strategies. Liaising with programmers and writing algorithm specifications to implement developed strategies. Undertake engagement, financial due diligence, financial modelling and operational due diligence for prospective acquisitions focusing on unlisted businesses. Engagement and continued relationship management with banking professionals and debt providers.

Completed the ISB full time Post Graduate Programme in Management (MBA) majoring in finance. Primarily located at the Hyderabad campus with an exchange term to the Mohali campus and a 4 month exchange to St Gallen, Switzerland. Undertook an experiential learning program between semesters working with ICICI Prudential Mutual Funds as well as competed in the international funds management competition for business schools, The CQA Challenge, representing ISB Hyderabad.

Completing weekly and 12 weekly rolling mine plan for both autonomous and manned mining areas for Jimblebar and Orebody 18 mining operations as well as short durations at both Eastern Ridge and Whaleback. Conducted the first remote planning trial evaluating the feasibility of relocating mine planning professionals from site to the central head office. The trial was successful and shows promise for an asset wide roll-out. Conducted site trial of a new planning technology targeted at planning horizon integration, increased compliance to plan, and cost accounting capabilities. Implementing a new planning animation system that supplemented the current 12-week mine plan and reduced interpretation error when conveyed to non-technical leadership.

Experience in a range of roles including earthworks and projects engineering, drill and blast engineering, daily mine scheduling and pit operations roles. Experience in planning for both manned and autonomous haulage environments as well as established and early stage mining operations. Western Australia Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency obtained and currently held.

Development of Quote/Tender contracts, selecting contractors and overseeing of contracted projects. Asset management tasks including development of road, footpath and cycle way capital budgeting and maintenance programs.

Conducting pavement asset assessment procedure and applying it to the Wollongong CBD footpath network. Developing and finalising limits of responsibility agreements pertaining to bridges in the Wollongong area between Wollongong City Council and other government and private stakeholders.

Working at the Eastern Ridge operation developing a procedure for, and conducting a time and motion study of, an open cut iron ore truck and shovel operation focusing specifically on quantifying the productivity changes between WA road rules and priority rules operating conditions.
