I've worked in the Refining and Petro Chemical industries for over 35 years, beginning in the field in the pipe fitting and welding crafts. Working up from a helper in the field on turnarounds and new construction projects to Project Superintendent on turnarounds and capital projects. I've worked on both sides of the fence as a contractor, as an employee of the owner, and as an owner contract representative. I have worked with Primavera Scheduling software since 1997 while working for Valero Energy Corporation. I've performed Scheduling for Capital Projects and Turnarounds in both the Downstream Refining Business and Petro Chemical Industry. I worked for Valero from 1995 to 2002 where I earned certificates in Basic and Advanced Primavera Classes. I've worked for several Project Controls Contractors since leaving Valero in both Brownfield and Greenfield Projects and Turnaround or Shutdown Projects. I've performed Planning and Scheduling as well as Project Manager roles and Account Manager Positions for these Contract Companies. From working the (FEL) Front End Loading Process to Execution and Start-Up, Creating (CPM) Critical Path Methodology Schedules and Custom Reports in P6 to Creating Custom Charts and Graphs in EXCEL.
