Led the team responsible for monitoring issues, trends, and innovations related to the consumer credit (including small dollar credit), deposit, payments, prepaid, remittances, data aggregation, and broader fintech marketplaces to inform policy making, supervisory efforts, and other Bureau activities. Principal author of the Bureau's ANPR on Section 1033/consumer data sharing and helped to organize the Bureau’s February 2020 symposium on Consumer Access to Financial Records. Led creation of the Bureau’s Consumer Protection Principles for both Faster Payment Systems and Consumer-Authorized Data Access. Served on the Steering Committee of the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force as well as the Fed’s Governance Framework Formation Team. Wrote the Bureau's initial whitepaper on overdraft and served as co-lead of the Bureau’s inquiry of overdraft programs. Helped to organize two public events to help improve consumer access to transaction accounts.
