Involved with manufacturing process of Top Drive & Hydraulic power unit systems, through to commissioning & operational phases of 500K 6th generation cyber modular drilling rig, utilized mainly for 8 ¼” side track drilling & well workover operations. Implementing maintenance programs & providing guidance to maintenance department & drilling section leader.

Operating 340K/460K hydraulic work over rig in all aspects of plug & abandon operations, dead and live well work over, running ESP’s, milling and fishing operations. Well kill & fluid pumping operations, working for BP, Shell, Conoco Philips, Apache, PDO in North Sea, Middle East, Norway & mainland Europe. Rig up and assistance of third party contractors including Wire line and Coil tubing.

Implementing & updating preventative maintenance schedules, Day – Day coordination of mixed fleet workshop, complying with local authority/VOSA legislation, Maintaining appropriate stock levels, Providing Supervision & guidance to staff, Coordinating new appliance build specification.

Design and manufacture of type B fire appliances, Routine maintenance of all associated vehicles and plant, Provide guidance to apprentice employees, Can – Bus Computer diagnostics, Assist with large Fabrication projects, Overhaul of Diesel engines to Euro 2 standard, Troubleshoot & repair elect/hydraulic systems.

Inspection & preparation of Commercial vehicles to VOSA standards, Overhaul of engines and transmissions, Basic Computer diagnostics, Class 7 MOT preparation cars/light Commercials, Repair & Maintain fleet of 38 ton Tractor Units, Provide 24hr recovery service on Rota, Troubleshoot & repair John Deere farm machinery.

Carrying out all aspects of work over & re completion in North Sea and more recently involved in offshore under balanced drilling campaigns for Shell and HESS. My duties included rigging up and maintenance of various Hydraulic, Rack & pinion and UBD snubbing units (250k, 340k, 460, and 500k) and BOP stacks. Maintenance and repair on all associated hydraulic equipment including 5 yearly overhaul, Counter balance operator, high pressure ram to ram stripping, relieving lead operator, complete BOP change out and maintenance. Additionally I have assisted other departments in scale squeeze pumping, Wire line and Coil Tubing operations.

Building and leading a multinational crew onboard ‘Skandi Aker’ a world’s first new build Deep water riser based well intervention vessel. I have been involved from construction to operational status, installing preparing and commissioning a full Subsea well intervention equipment spread. Liaising with Engineers construction teams and supervising works. Installation and modification of full 6th generation NOV Derrick & equipment spread including Drill floor, Riser tensioners, Pump room, Pipe handling and well test package. Operationally I am responsible for the safe deployment connection and barrier testing of an LWRP BOP & riser system complete with Weak link, Tension ring, LV/NIS and Surface flow tree. I am the main focal point for all well intervention & well test operations.
