* Primary responsibility was to provide technical expertise to the sales team. Also filled a variety of other roles as required in a startup. * Helped our sales team meet aggressive sales targets. This allowed GroupBy to grow from 13 to 70 employees during this time. * Built and presented dozens of custom proof of concepts, highlighting how our solutions can be used to increase our client's revenue and solve unique technical challenges. * Prototyped differentiating new features which became part of the main product. The semantic engine functionality I created is in the process of being patented. * Worked on numerous implementation projects for the services team as a technical lead. * Created an angular based framework for quickly producing product demo sites and custom ETL processes to import client data. * Successfully led SOC 2 compliance effort. Created our Security Policy and formed our Security Team ensuring that it is followed. These practices have passed numerous audits.

* Created an internet casino application, allowing secure online transactions. * Developed an auction and “reverse auction” website used by numerous websites.

Led software consulting projects, as well as mentored and managed up to 5 direct reports. Provided technical oversight, sales support, project estimates and ensured team met targets. Analyzed Owens Corning business operations to design Quality Management System used in all cultured stone plants, allowing client to quickly identify problems in production line. Led TOS/ORaL (Thermal Outage System/Operating Reports and Ledger) projects to successful completion, greatly improving relationship with OPG. Won Toronto 2007 Employee of the Year award for completing project on an aggressive schedule. Created strong ties with Network Security team, resulting in leading NERC CIP site assessments and compliance projects for numerous clients. Initiated the development of various tools used to accelerate deployment, configuration and development of various solutions. These tools were rolled into standard toolkit for project execution. Created and facilitated a seven week series of presentations on our technical solutions, attended by senior management.

* Hired to create reporting framework for new Windows based pharmacy application. * Created entire reporting system for Kroll pharmacy software and developed over 50 financial and statistical reports. * Designed a highly configurable system for printing labels and medical records, making it easy for pharmacists to display corporate standard formatting. * Developed highly complex SQL statements for gathering data in order to quickly process large amounts of data. * Trained replacement in using reporting framework, ensuring an easy transition.
