-BoM Cost analysis and assesment supporting R&D requirements and PIT targets. -Management of purchased parts: obtain BoM from R&D and review volume forecast from NPI/Program Management for early purchase orders and NPI kits. -Follow up to purchase orders (for Unique Materials) and work with Supply Chain and planners for early MP risk buy assessment. Get supplier support for shortages status (timing, cost, capacity, logistics, or any potential supplier issue). -Identify Cost Improvement opportunities and productivity. -Agree on program sourcing strategy (preferred suppliers, terms & conditions, etc.) in close co-operation/direct of SCM and CBM. -Coordination of new components including prototypes: support R&D in identifying and benchmarking suppliers, organize the path and then track and manage new external components from prototype to production. -Manage and support all assigned RFQ and develop current suppliers to challenge better prices since the very beginning. -Support pre-production NPI and first MP for Critical Shortage Lists: Purchase Orders for New materials, follow up, SC alternatives, etc.

Washer ACU Hardware Lead: • Electronic hardware development for Appliance Control Unit (laundry applications). • Schematic design. • PCB layout design. • EMC knowledge at system and board level. • BOM’s creation and management. • Support Cost Reduction projects and shortage components projects. • Knowledge on Electronic Controls manufacturing. • Process capability Validation of Whirlpool's electronic controls suppliers. • Structural and functional verification in the approval of the first parts (FPA) for electronic controls.
