Gage Thompson

I graduated from the University of Toledo in December of 2024 with a BS in electrical engineering. In Spring 2022 and Fall 2022, I had co-op experiences at Midmark Corporation. I worked in the medical operations department, where I worked on manufacturing process improvement, product testing, product lifecycle management, non-conforming material troubleshooting, etc. I also worked in the controls department, in which I assisted with solving supply chain issues, creating and running automated tests meant for raw data collection and analyzation, etc. In Summer of 2023 and 2024, I had co-op terms at EOSYS, in which I worked on HMI and PLC programming/development. I have experience with Autodesk Inventor and PTC Creo for 3D modeling. I have used iFix, FactoryTalk View, and InTouch HMI development software, as well as PLC ladder logic programming experience in the Studio 5000 environment. I have experience in C++, circuit design, etc. From Spring 2023 to Fall 2024, I was the treasurer on the executive board of the University of Toledo chapter of IEEE. In May 2025, I started working at Vistra Corporation's Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant as an Instrumentation & Controls Associate Engineer on the Plant Support Engineering team.
