Collaborated with fellow graduating HSSJ majors to develop foundation designed to distribute grant money to viable organizations and nonprofits. Key leader in setting strategic goals as well as reviewing grant application to determine grant allocation.

Supported environmental organization developed to motivate and inspire youth leadership and environmental stewardship. Engaged with children weekly to share the organization message and educate using various lesson plans, activities, and service-learning programs. Drafted research paper on the importance of environmental education for youth within urban communities.

Deliver marketing support to various events through the Influencers program. Utilize social media platform to promote activities and cause to large-scale audiences. Conduct research on institutional funding and author reports detailing grant applications for management review.

Support and provide the daily care for various pets of high-end clientele for boutique pet-sitting service. Engage with clients to ensure best possible care is given, utilize technologies to track activities including daily walks, medication disbursement, and in-home care.

I have taken college courses pertaining to literature, social services, social justice, volunteer management, fundraising, program evaluation, child & adult development, psychology, gender studies, racial relations, sustainability, and public policy. I am currently working toward a degree in Human Services & Social Justice and Sustainability, which I began pursuing in my junior year of college after switching my major and minor. Activities and Societies: My current activities include employment at D.C. Dog Sitter, extensive volunteering experience for non-profits in the D.C. Metro Area (recent non-profits include DC Central Kitchen and Bright Beginnings, Inc.), and membership of Defenders of Wildlife and The Humane Society of the United States.
