* Assisted international students with English composition and writing skills in weekly one-on-one sessions and acted as a peer mentor to support academic success. * Tutored college students in English, writing skills and Japanese language and composition.

* Edited all stories that appeared in Linfield College’s weekly student newspaper, approximately 30 articles per week. * Wrote weekly articles and conducted interviews and research for stories. Build the capacity of Emerging Leaders, an initiative of Portland Leadership Foundation dedicated to improving racial and cultural diversity at the leadership level in the Portland-area by providing pathways to leadership for underrepresented communities. Work with program director to develop and implement communications strategy. Manage website content and social media, write and edit key publications, and gather stories and photos that document the work of Emerging Leaders. Perform administrative activities and projects to execute the internship and mentoring programs, including data collection, participant recruitment, event coordination, and community outreach.

* Read, reviewed and selected submissions to Fulbright Korea’s biannual literary magazine. * Worked closely with submitting writers to edit and refine their pieces for publication. * Wrote 3 creative nonfiction pieces, published in vol. 7 Issue 2, and vol. 8 Issue 1 and 2.

* Designed and implemented lesson plans to teach English as a Foreign Language to more than 600 middle and 900 high school students. * Led daily conversation and culture club classes. * Edited and collaborated with co-workers on written exams and other projects. * Conducted and scored speaking tests for all grade 1 and 3 students. * Planned and solo taught 2-week English winter camp to 20 students. * Proctored exams (i.e. TOEFL) via Fulbright Korea. * Facilitated cultural exchange activities and acted as a USA cultural ambassador within the school and community. * Volunteered with Fulbright-grantee led organizations Korean Adolescent Mentorship Program (KAMP), Korea Bridge Initiative (KBI), and North Korean Defector English Tutoring Program (NKD) to provide free educational opportunities to vulnerable populations.
