Coordination for the 2-day conference entitled "Navigating the Changing Times of Gender, Sexuality and Migration in Europe", in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

As a working student at ANTON, the free learning app for primary school, I designed and coded English and Maths lessons to be released on the UK version. Some of my responsibilities included: - Researching and designing interactive lessons; - Translation of content from DE > EN; - Frontend coding; - Interviewing and onboarding new team members.

Event Coordinator for the digital conference "Queer Feminist Perspectives On Political Homophobia And Anti-Feminism In The Middle East And Europe". The event was organised in collaboration with Humboldt University, the Heinrich Böll Foundation and Brown University. Some of my responsibilities included: - Managing internal and external communications for the event; - Coordinating meetings with project partners; - Liaising between project partners and contractors; - Assisting in the invoicing process for contractors; - Designing, creating and managing the conference website; - Editing articles for the post-conference dossier; - Marketing and promotion; - Event coordinator on conference days.

At WWP EN, I managed the communication and dissemination for 6 EU-funded various projects, all of which related to improving gender equality and/or ending gender-based violence. Some of my responsibilities included: - Managing project communications; - Creating written and audiovisual content for social media; - Organising and hosting project workshops and seminars; - Researching and writing a project report (available here: http://bit.ly/marvowreport); - Assisting with reporting for the European Commission; - Creating project dissemination strategy; - Creating project newsletters.

Seminars on topics including: gender & conflict, international political economy, political theory, internet governance and theory. Master's Thesis (grade 1,1): "Paradoxes of asylum for trans and non-binary asylum seekers in Germany". An independent research project building on interviews with NGOs and grassroots organisations. Research Project (grade 1,3): "Who are the 'legitimate' queer refugees? The realities of the SOGI asylum claim in Germany". This research concluded with suggestions for future research and better policy making considering queer people within the asylum application process. I have graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in German and Politics. I attained a 2:1. During my time at Leeds, I improved my German language skills through German core language modules. I studied a mixture of cultural and political modules for Politics including modules in EU policy, feminism, political theory, state and politics in Africa and Chinese politics. I wrote my final year dissertation on the relationship between the media and the Alternative für Deutschland. This was an independent research project which I worked on throughout the year. It explored the way in which Germany's far-right benefited from the mechanisms of the modern media and how populism is directly influenced by media coverage.

As an ERASMUS exchange student at Leipzig, I studied a wide range of modules including translation and interpretation, literature and history - all taught in German.
