Designed and presented Ethernet access solution to Verizon MPLS network with satellite backup for Fortune 50 retailer to provide increased bandwidth and reliability.

* Planned, designed, configured and implemented complex communications networks including voice, data and video. Investigated new technology trends and benefits the company. * Engineered and configured Nortel PBXs and Passports to route voice calls over company’s private network thus eliminating $500,000 annually in long distance charges. * Designed, configured and installed a 20-node communications network covering the State of Florida providing voice and data connectivity. * Project Leader on the installation of natural gas monitoring system using cellular data technology covering all of Florida. * Provide Level 2 trouble resolution for LAN/WAN enviroment

* Provided advance planning, design and implementation of data communications networks. Developed and delivered presentations on network enhancements including design, cost and project schedule to senior management. Provided 2nd level problem resolution on networking issues. * Designed and installed ATM raiser backbone in 9-floors corporate headquarters, providing ATM uplinks to server farm and dedicated switch ports to 2000 desktops. * Led project to reassign addressing in company networks to Private IP space(RFC 1918) and convert router network from RIP to OSPF. * Designed and installed ATM backbone and 100M switches into company Data Center housing 30 servers, mainframe and 500 nodes. * Provide Level 1 trouble resolution for LAN/WAN enviroment

Configured and installed more than 60 LANs, 50 Novell servers and 40 Wellfleet/Bay Network routers. Provide 24-hour support and maintenance for data communication network.

Assist in the sales process by providing engineering support, including gathering customer requirements and offering strategic guidance in equipment selection, design, configuration, and pricing. Responsibilities also included presenting proposal to customer and closing the sale as part of the account team. Engineering lead on IP Telephony design, configuration and installation including Call Processing, Voice Mail and ACD with over 10,000 phones with Nortel PBX and PSTN integration. Led architecture design effort in the design and implementation of 1600 retail sites with MPLS networking with cellular wireless backup and network management. Provided critical engineering support during customers conversion of 7,000 circuits from TDM Private Line access to Ethernet Access for their MPLS network. Established outstanding working relationship with Premier and Corporate Customer accounts in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia that resulted in increased revenue.
