Co-ordination of designers, mechanical- and process engineers and responsible for technical and commercial design engineering activities.

Executing of (process) engineering for process innovation, efficiency improvement and reliability studies for several chemical production plants.

Managing large complex projects with respect to scope, budget, planning, quality, effective internal/external communication and organization. Responsible for the design, execution, procurement, expediting, commissioning and qualification related to facilities, laboratories and/or pharmaceutical production plants as a result of innovation, capacity expansion and/or upgrades.

Managing an in-house engineering department and two assembly/construction departments (50 employees). Co-ordination of all the activities from initiation to implementation in relation to modification, renovation, revamp and new building of batch-wise pharmaceutical (API, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) process.

Performing technical calculations and design according to national and international design codes and standards of mechanical/process installation for production plants, piping companies, equipment- and machine factories. Technical and/or legal advisory of new and old installations (piping, process equipment and production plants).

Managing a team of project managers including the departmental aspects such as human resources, policies, working methods, quality, capacity, efficiency, safety and environment. Responsible for several multidisciplinary international projects together with internal teams and/or external contractors. Establishing business cases with internal clients including site master plans, scope, critical succes factors, organization and project results for the biological- and pharmaceutical Animal Health sites in the regions Asia, Brazil, Europe and in The Netherlands.

Managing and coaching a select team of associate directors and (senior) project managers at several locations and sites. Leading a capital investment portfolio. within an API, Biotech and Animal Health business. Ensuring the stage gate process followed from initiation through to start up, within a challenging environment and circumstances due to recent and upcoming re-organization and pressure on regulatory requirement. Responsible for internal and external resources for engineering, construction management, procurement support and contract partners as well as aligning internal partners to ensure scope is in keeping with internal needs. Ensuring all project controls are in place, monitored and acted on, after preparing and acquiring approval of capital investment proposals. Participating in steering committees, together with senior business leaders, follow up business objectives, plans, operational/organizational changes and strategies, as a consultant related to capital investment procedures, systems and project management aspects.
