* Supervising a team of up to ten members of staff in Edinburgh University's student union bars. My duties include: * Delegating and co-ordinating tasks for Bar Team Members as well as motivating the team * Responsibility for handling and resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional manner * Involvement with the recruitment and training and development process of Bars Team Members * Assisting senior management to ensure maximum profitability of the bars

* Working within Audit, Tax and Accounts departments for a 9 week summer internship. During my summer here, I furthered my experience in accounting whereby I: * Worked on sets of accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and charities * Visited clients and assisted with audit preparation for such clients * Assisted in the preparation of VAT and Tax returns

A week long placement as an Accounts Assistant within an Edinburgh based accountancy practice in which I gained experience conducting bank reconciliations and processing accounting information on Sage accounting software, shadowing a Chartered Accountant before working independently on such bookkeeping and accounting based tasks. In addition, working within a small team during this work experience improved my relationship building and people skills.

I worked 2 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals within this role as well as working during term time on a regular basis, balancing this part time job with my workload at university. Working within a team effectively under management of the Bars Team Leader and senior management, contributing to the effective running of the bars in their busy environment Providing excellent customer service to a wide range of customers, especially relevant when working in August for customers visiting the country for the busy Edinburgh Fringe Festival Dealing with customer enquiries successfully and ensuring provision of friendly assistance and advice to all guests regarding product choices, further advancing my sales and communication skills

Serving food and drinks in a busy restaurant situated on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. This role provided me experience of working in a fast paced environment as well as developing my teamwork and communication skills.
