General and Task Management • Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit • Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production • Utilise any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required • Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy • Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to production • Generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands • Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time • Develop and implement processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives • Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with members of the purchasing team • Support supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure demand for materials is met • Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the purchasing team

 Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.  Contract management to include all aspects (e.g. administer, review, manage, file, evaluate, analyze, and negotiate).  Negotiate or renegotiate and administer contracts with vendors.  Administer bidding process and contracts (e.g. prepare specifications, evaluate bids, recommend vendors, etc.).  Research and evaluate vendors/contracts to ensure it is in compliance with government regulations (e.g. vendor debarment and suspension regulation).  Evaluate vendors to ensure its performance is aligned with established specifications.  Evaluate order and bid documentation.  Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.  Review and maintain good record of purchasing files and records (purchase orders, contracts, etc.) to ensure its compliance with company policies and procedures and ensure the availability of documentation.  Back up purchasing clerk to include ordering of supplies/goods, equipment and material, reviewing, and processing/issuing of purchase order.  Review and monitor capital purchases to ensure its compliance with company policies and procedures.  Identify opportunities for cost savings.  Compile data from variety of sources for analyzing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and monitoring of purchasing processes.  Continually improve purchasing methods/processes.  Response to inquiries from internal and external sources in providing information, direction, and or appropriate referrals.  Special projects and/or other duties as assigned.

 Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.  Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.  Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, supplies or equipment; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.  Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups. Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and catalogs as required.  Monitor automated warehousing system; operate a computer to enter data, correct errors and control key screens as required.  Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
