Aided and abetted the manufacture of pristine gene and cell therapies for clinical trials.

Studied the role of the ubiquitin proteasome system in regulating protein homeostasis. I was particularly interested in elucidating protein complexes associated with the p97 AAA-ATPase that contributed to targeting mislocalized proteins to the proteasome.

- Maintained the neuroscience program (neuroscience.syr.edu) and faculty websites - Assisted faculty in making curricula documents available online - Assisted to format and upload various media files on university website

• Studied glioma cell proliferation in Dr. Sandra Hewett’s lab using the following techniques: o Sterile culture of cell lines, Cell Plating and Passaging o RT-PCR o qPCR o BCA Assay o SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting o DNA Gel Electrophoresis o Protein Isolation o Cell extraction • In collaboration with Dr. Jingxue Shi, research associate to Dr. Hewett, I perform experiments to determine the protein expression in glioma responsible for their metastasis and how the knockdown of the protein will affect proliferation

• Developed and validated Canon's first qPCR/HRM genotyping commercial product, Novallele™ • Worked with assay operations to transfer newly developed assays from R&D to manufacturing • Performed functional testing on novel diagnostic instruments • Maintained impeccable records from raw data books and computer generated data files, laboratory protocols, and summary reports • Presented data to small working groups as well as to the larger project teams • Worked in a dynamic matrix environment with moderate degree of independence while cooperating with coworkers within an organized team environment and effectively communicated project status to supervisor • Performed quality control (QC) on assays transferred for manufacturing
